Party animal cake
This was one of my favourite cakes of the week. It is based on a cake that I have made before, but the client wanted it modified to reflect the person whose birthday it was - so hence the addition of a can of strongbow, helium balloons, cheeky monkey and black labrador.

Women on their Way Awards 2010
I attended the Women on their Way 2010 Awards ceremony on friday, held at Aston Villa football ground. What a fantastic event - so many inspiring people there!
Women on their Way support a charity named Sands (Stillbirth and neonatal death charity) and held a charity raffle to raise funds for this incredible cause. I made and donated a two tier chocolate mud cake - yum! On top of the cake was a lady made from sugarpaste celebrating with a bottle of champagne.

Man United vs Barcelona cake
I was asked to make two football cakes for twins celebrating their 5th birthday. One supported Man United, the other supported Barcelona. Each birthday boy had his own cake but together they had one complete football pitch. Each cake was topped with an individual footballer dressed in their favourite team's strip. The footballers were made from sugarpaste so were completely edible.
